Personally: One Item Off our Bucket Lists

It’s a new year, and we are making our New Year’s Resolutions a little differently this year. We asked around the office what we would each be checking off our bucket lists this year, and we will re-evaluate at the end of the year to see how we all did!

I would love to master the Spanish language. I am slowly learning to speak and read Spanish, but I would love to be more fluent. I am excited to challenge myself to accomplish this, and I want to develop more communication skills and actively use this beautiful language when I travel.

This year I plan on going to the country where I was born, Cuba. Although I’ve been back numerous times, I’ve yet to explore this beautiful country of mine… I plan on visiting some places/ cities I’ve had in mind for a while but haven’t had the chance yet. My first stop will be Cayo Coco; I’ve heard the water there is stunning!! I plan to attend National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana. I’m so excited to see what artists around Cuba have created, from colonial times to the modern day. I know there’s so much history and meaning behind every art piece. I cannot wait to visit this beautiful place!

My bucket list item this year would be moving out of my mom’s house before I’m 25! My birthday is at the beginning of the year, giving me the whole year to figure out what is next. I love and appreciate living at home, especially with the housing market in BC right now, but I feel like my wings are finally ready to fly! Stay tuned.

I have wanted to experience Tofino’s Hot Springs Cove for many years! It’s not easily accessible; the only way to it is a 1.5-hour boat ride or seaplane. It’s suggested that you plan 6 hours from start to finish. Let’s see if I cross it off my bucket list this year, and I’ll let you know how it goes.

My bucket list item is already in the works, so I can cross this one off with no problem! I’ve got tickets for a music festival featuring some of my childhood favourite bands, ones I was much too young to see in their heyday. It has been a dream of my sister and me to see some of these groups live for MANY years (more than I’m willing to admit), and it should be a fun sisterly bonding trip.

We look forward to checking in on how we all did in December! I hope everyone gets something crossed off their bucket list this year.

Happy Thursday!
