Shannon’s approach to design is rooted in an early understanding of how deeply our surroundings shape the way we live. Growing up, frequent moves gave her an appreciation for the feeling of home and the impact a thoughtfully designed space can have on everyday life. An early interest in art and interiors ultimately developed into a career centred on creating spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.

Since founding First Impression Designs in 1994, Shannon has brought that perspective to custom homes, renovations, showhomes and multi-residential projects throughout the Lower Mainland and beyond. Her approach balances thoughtful planning with an intuitive eye for material, proportion and detail, creating interiors that feel layered, personal and considered.

More than three decades later, Shannon remains closely involved in the design process, working alongside clients, builders and trades to carry each vision from its earliest ideas through to completion. At the heart of her work is a simple belief: a well-designed home should not only look beautiful, but enrich the way it is lived in.
